Patient Care Coordinator
Growing dental practice seeking a team member to be a Patient Care Coordinator. This person will take the treatment plan developed by the dentist and be the patient’s right hand person, helping them figure out the financial arrangements and schedule their treatment.
You must have excellent communication skills and be computer savvy. Insurance knowledge helpful, but we will train you. A great candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent customer service skills and outstanding sales expertise. Minimum two years experience in customer service, retail sales or health care sales required.

Job Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the patient’s office experience in being seamless and ensure the patient leaves well informed and prepared for their next appointment. This includes ensuring the patient understands their treatment plan, the benefits of treatment, insurance benefits, assisting with financial arrangements and coordination of appointments

- Sound knowledge of dental terminology
- Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner

- Demonstrate ability to perform basic arithmetic to understand general ledger and insurance benefits
- Always keep work area clean and tidy
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Have an open mind when getting feedback from peers and always be willing to learn new ways of doing things
- Attend all office monthly and quarterly meetings
- Proficient in dental practice management software (Dentrix)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to work independently
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Three to five years of experience in a customer service role
- One to three years of experience in a sales role
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, though the employee is frequently required to walk and stand during patient exams
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
